It's finally Chinese New Year eve. I loved the dinner I had. Grandma made so much food that it was spilling off the table. Grandma's cooking has improved tremendously since her chinese cook left. That isnt bad for someone that hasnt been depended on for food all her life hehe obviously almost half the food was left by the time everyone hit their full tank. This year aint any different from last, the food would be tucked away into the fridge for lunch tomorrow haha no one complained coz grandma had already spend all her time that day preparing 10 types of food including desert. I can hardly remember what the 10 were actually. There were stuffed crab, cod fish, chinese mushroom with the black hair looking thingies, mix vegetables, roast pork (my favorite), soup, roast duck, wine chicken......argghhh.....I cant remember anything else already.....
Who stays home on new year's eve huh? Ted and I and a group of friends went clubbing! Wohoo! Pure bar.....AGAIN!......haha where else! Drank quite a fair bit. Hey it's CNY! Saw a few awful faces around there.....hmmm......well....the night ended rather late that night. Erm....I guess I wasnt really sober enough to know what time actually haha......I think we went straight home after that.....hmmm....

As usual it's dad's annual company dinner once more. It was nice seeing all my cousins there again except Hong Weng. He missed it for the 2nd time now because of work. Well it was really really noisy. It felt like as if it was Chinese New Year once more haha which would be in a few days. Everyone was gossiping about everything and everyone under the universe haha
Dad had to make the big announcement that I had my tongue pierced. Hmmm....I felt like a show off and a lil kid in a way....I had to stick my tongue out to everyone hehe My Ah Pak (Dad's big bro) was kinda shocked and I thought I would frighten him more by showing him my navel piercing hahaha......He claims that he even gets freaked out by nose rings. Huh? Oh well, knowing him all my life, he can be pretty weird at times hehe....SORRY!
Second announcement dad made that night was that I had tattoos....SHIT! That I didnt want anyone to know. Tattoos to me are something I dun like showing off and it's kinda personal. So I ran away as fast as my 4 inch heels would allow me to before anyone could turn towards me muahahahaha! Therefore the story ended there. Moral of the story is.....Dun be too Keh Poh when old ppl are talking!
The food wasnt that great. Renaissance chinese restaurant didnt serve any pork. What's chinese food without some pork? HUH? HA? However, that didnt matter that much. It was nice having everyone there.

Ted turned 22 yesterday. We didnt have much planned actually. I think it's a great age. I love 22! I cant imagine how fast we're getting old hehe
Yesterday we had dinner with his family and I got him his favorite chocolate banana cake from Secret Recipe. I got him a lil present too, a CK Eternity perfume. It's really hard buying a present for a guy ok? I couldnt think of anything else haha other than that I suck! He likes CK Escape not Eternity. Silly me! haha u see la! At least I got his cake right.
Ted and I celebrated today. He didnt wan anything for his birthday actually so we just had dinner together in Renaissance. It was yummy! Ate so much. Hmmm.......*guilty guilty* the oysters were just too hard to resists u know? I guess Ted didnt feel the same. He couldnt imagine me eating so many of them and I couldnt imagine how much desert he had haha I dun have much of a sweet tooth la.
We finish after about 2 and a half hours.....hehehe..........the tables before and after us has all gone. We went back to his place after that and just hang out.

Can u imagine it's new year's eve once more. WOW! The year went by really fast even though I wasnt having all that much fun in NZ hehe.....Ted and I werent planning to do much today. We just went clubbing a while....ermm...not actually clubbing. We went to our usual bar and sat outside while we watch the young people dancing n drinking like we use to do when we were their age. Hai! I feel old! DAMNIT! I'll be turning 21 soon after tomorrow....haha....I'm OLD! NOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Met some old friends there and we sat together and had drinks. Hmmm....many about 15 of us....old people watching the young.....hehe....
We arent really clubber anymore. I'm hooked to animes now. Naruto is my current craze haha.....cant wait to watch more. Only one episod would come out once a week. Hai! Such a long wait for something so exciting! Oh I just got my new episod done. Gonna watch it now!

Nightmare After Christmas
It's finally the big day! Everyone's busy doing stuff for the gig at 7pm. Dennis, Paul, Gary, Joe and Ted started their day real early. Dennis picked all of them up to go chop a tree in Kampung (Portuguese Settlement). I was told that Gary was looking for an exact tree to be the haunted tree placed on the stage so the guys had to go into a jungle like bush with a parang haha kesian la! They told me that, as they were about to enter an old lady near by shouted "Eh boy! Dun PLAY there! There got snake ar!" hahaha.........why would a bunch of 20 over year old guys be playing in a bush? hmmmm...........
Finally they got the tree and the stuffed it into Dennis' car and drove all the way to Sri Costa Hotel where the gig would be held. Poor Joe had to hold the tree all the way with it dangling outside the window. Lucky they didnt get into any trouble though. There was a police car that drove pass but they didnt bother to even stop to ask what was wrong......hmmm.......
After all that, everyone went home and went out once more for lunch at 2pm. This time it was a bigger group who went, Dennis, his gf Jaynice, Gene, Gary, Joe, Ted and I. Paul was just too far away to come all the way to Bukit Baru to just have lunch. Everyone was so excited about the gig and so right after lunch we went to collect all the deco and head off to Sri Costa to set up stuff.

Can u believe that it's Christmas once more? haha this year no one seems to be having a very merry one. Kim was celebrating it with Garfield (her cat) in her apartment in Melbourne when she called at 12am. As for Chuanyi, she was sitting at home with Hao (her bf) watching DVDs and munching on snacks while Ted and I went to Jonker Street with Gary and Wendy on the eve. It was pack! I felt to suffocated! Everyone was pushing left and right....arrgghh! so annoying! Geographer (pub and bistro) was also full but we were a little early and we got a table. No one really had any special plans for that night coz everyone was paying all their attention on the gig we're having on Boxing Day.
Everyone has been working all week making decorations, practicing with their bands and Ted's band was the busiest of the lot. That's because it's their gig. Hmmm.....after all the trouble I wonder if they would ever have another next year! Just wait till Sunday nite and we'll find out. If u ever see a sign or flyer up anywhere in Melaka with the word Gothica 2004, that's their gig! It's called Nightmare After Christmas. Cute name! hehe
Oh well! I guess that's all for my Christmas this year. I'm getting a bit too old for clubbing and late night outings every special big occasion. Sitting down somewhere nice having a coffee is so much better and more peaceful haha. Oh let's not forget shopping at anytime of the day would be the best way to celebrate anything!

Pumpkins, Bats, Tombstones......
The gig is on Sunday and now we're trying to finish up some decorations for the stage. We made them all out of white styrofoam in Ted's front porch. The mess was huge but no one seemed to care. There were styrofoam bits all over and the fan was on high. It was as if we were having a snowy Christmas haha .....I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas............bla bla bla......it was like that. Joe was covered with bits because he was smoothing out the sides of the tombstones. He can actually pass as father christmas or ever father chirstmas' belly.....hik hik!
Making the deco didnt take all that long. Joe and Gary started it around 2 plus when Ted and I came to help at around 4.30 and Dennis was there too between us but he had to leave for a couple of hours to teach guitar. So by 6 everything was done. The bats were sprayed black by Dennis but the tombstones and pumpkins were not coloured yet. That was to be done some other day.
The porch was full of styrofoam and it was so hard to sweep. Ted's dad actually brought out the vacuum cleaner and cleaned out the porch for us. OPPS!

Yea I was up in KL once more this week! AHH!! Going mad! haha but this time dad drove. We went up for a family wedding in Subang. We were on the groom's side. He's the youngest son of my grandfather's (mum's side) 5th brother (Mm Sok Kong). Ted was with us too. That was rather sweet. I've never brought him to a family wedding before and he got along with everyone there. That was really surprising coz Ted's rather conservative and shy hehe.....My cousins (Christopher, Jason and Samantha) from NZ were back too along wit their parents.
Samantha was very friendly wit Ted and played wit him like one of her own brothers hehe she's rather tiny for a 7 year old actually. Everyone at the wedding thought she was younger and she was rather lonely at times coz she speaks with a Kiwi accent and kids her age could hardly understand her. Aww poor thing~ However she got along well wit Aunty Linda's (mum's youngest sister) son, Ryan. He's coming to 2 in January and he's almost the same size as Sam haha so cute!
As usual we had the tea ceremony first which lasted about 3 hours. PHEW! It was so hot! I was sweating like a pig! Right after the ceremony Ted and I flew to Sungei Wang while Christopher and Jason went to 1 Utama haha.....typical la! But Samantha stayed at home. She didnt eat anything at the ceremony coz she preferred coke and fries from McD's. She didnt want soya bean or sugar cane or kuih lapis.....aiyoh! Mat Salleh! haha

Dinner was at a Tai Thong Subang and the food was of course the normal 8 course but it has never tasted to good before. I missed everything on the table while I was in NZ. EWWW...... I hate that place! Well, it was a typical chinese dinner, which was, suppose to be at 7 but people came at 7.50 and dinner was served at 8.30. Surprised? NO!

After about an hour and a half, the karaoke session started! GOD! It gave us all headaches! However, we think that the chinese crowd would Boo them off stage, dun u?

It's been so crazy this whole week. Ted just got a new job and the company sent him to KL for a week training with accomodation so I being such a keh poh wanted to follow. We stayed at a hotel in the middle of KL and while Ted went to work I went shopping in Bukit Bintang and KLCC. We checked in Sunday evening and we stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. ARRGGHH! I've had so enough of hotels for at least this holidays. Eating out every time and getting stuck in KL's well known horrible jams is tedious! Ted and I could hardly wait to get back to Malacca haha I know that coming from me is a little awkward but I would miss the mad shopping trips I had everyday. Oh well! I would run out of green someday rite? So when I'm like a poor church mouse I would like being in Malacca.
On Wednesday nite I went to see my dearest couz, Jolene. I was in Subang coz I had to go see my dad at Holiday Villa and I got lost along the way so I might as well pick my couz 1st. She just got her driving license so she drove us both around. We went to my dad's room but he wasnt there. He had a meeting with his japanese client or someone la.......Jo and I found a little balcony outside my dad's room but there wasnt a door to lead us out so we climbed out the window. Ted was in the toilet and I ask Jo to close the window and hide at the side and see if Ted could find us haha We never grow up, do we Jo? hehe....he found us and he locked us out! How stupid of us rite?
If Ted didnt let us back in I guess Jo and i would have to slide down.
Ermmm......I think we were on the 6th floor.....
